Art History Abroad students immerse themselves in European art and culture. All teaching is done on site by brilliant, unstuffy tutors who will inspire you and encourage you to draw connections between art history, philosophy, music and literature.
Open to students of all disciplines, all you need is an inquiring mind.
Founded in the UK in 1987, AHA provides structured courses of art history and European civilization. Students enjoy a full program of onsite tutorials in small groups of 9 or fewer and special access to sites not usually open to the public.

"The tutors were all exceptional, so knowledgeable and enthusiastic making the course accessible but also fun […] a personal highlight was the private tour of San Marco in Venice, a once in a lifetime opportunity …"
Izzy, Early Summer Gap Course 2017
"Many of the close friends I made on the trip were also international students, hailing from around the world. AHA attracts a very diverse crowd; something that definitely adds to the experience of studying abroad."
Lauren, Summer Course 2016
"This was honestly the best three months I've had in a long time!!! I learned so much about art history, being a traveller around Europe, and about myself on this trip! I feel like I am a better person for going on this trip and I would recommend it to anyone! Thanks AHA!"
Maayan, Semester Course 2016
"It has opened my mind to a new way of thinking and it is like I’ve been given a different pair of eyes."
