Peer Productions is a unique training theatre charity that offers a free one year Actor Development Programme for young creatives aged 17 - 23 years. This is an opportunity to spend a gap year honing the performer's craft, making a difference in the community and finding out if being an actor is the career choice for you.
Go on tour
Our actors become part of a tight knit theatre ensemble touring full scale productions to young audiences that focus on some of the most challenging issues facing young people today including sex and healthy relationships, mental health and substance misuse. Our plays reach audiences of 15,000 young people every year.
Make a difference
Our actors design and deliver drama outreach sessions for young people in the community including for those who are disadvantaged or harder to reach, including young carers, vulnerable girls and those with learning difficulties.
Our actors are given one to one mentorship as they undertake a vocational Level 4 Creative Practitioner Diploma that focusses on their individual development as actors and creatives and provides them with the opportunity to develop and showcase their own work.
Get in to Drama School
Our actors receive support in all aspects of their career development including drama school applications, speech choices and audition technique. Our graduates have gone on to top drama schools including LAMDA, GSA, Central School of Speech and Drama, Rose Bruford, Lipa, East15, Birmingham School of Acting and Manchester Met. 87% of those who choose to apply to drama school get in.
